Select Your Design
Our designs provide unique and one-of-a-kind invitations/announcements for your special day and are created by a designer with over 12 years of experience. All of our invitations are professionally printed and hand-produced, making them one-of-a-kind. Choose from one of our ready-to-order designs, or, schedule an appointment (either in person or over the phone) to discuss custom designs.
We encourage you to contact us 3 to 4 months before the mailing date of your invitations. (Less time is necessary for baby announcements). This allows you, as well as us, to work comfortably, and allows a calligrapher (if you are using one) ample time to address the envelopes.
After you schedule an appointment with our designer, we will work with you to create the perfect invitation that expresses both your style and personality, and sets the tone for your big event. We will encourage various fonts, ink colors, ribbons and papers and will help you along the way in choosing the perfect design.
Once your design is complete (approximately 2 weeks after appointment) we will begin the online proofing stage. If your invitation is custom-designed, we will set up a second apppointment for you to review the design.
After final approval, we will begin to print and hand produce your invitation set. Please allow approximately 5 weeks for your final product. We will contact you once your invitations have been completed.
Once you have selected your invitation design, we will create proofs to ensure that all information is correct. Please review the proofs in detail, as mistakes do happen and this is your last chance to catch them. We will ask you to signature and approve both an estimate and proofs before printing the invitations. Two rounds of courtesy proofs are available. Any proofs after will incure a $35 per round fee.
We work with the best printers in Chicago to provide you with beautiful invitations. All designs may be printed using offset printing (flat ink in any color), thermography (raised ink) letterpress (embossed plate produced printing), foil printing (embossed foil produced printing) and engraving (traditional etched printing).
Invitation sets vary from $9-$18 each. An invitation set includes the invitation, reception card, reply card, reply envelope and outer envelope. Additional elements may be added for an additional cost, including belly bands, lined envelopes, welcome cards, brunch cards, new home cards, maps, etc.
Baby Announcements vary from $3-$6. Return address printing on the outer envelope is optional.
We ask for a 50% deposit before reviewing proofs. The remaining 50% balance is due and payable upon receipt/shipment of your invitations/announcements. Credit cards are accepted via Paypal.
Custom maps are optional and may be designed to match your invitation set. Illustrations of landmarks, fun spots of interest, architecture, etc. may be included. A flat rate of 120$-$150 will be added to the cost of your invitation set.
We have a partnership with a few of the best calligraphers in town! We are happy to refer you to them and will even save you the hassle by delivering your envelopes to them for a fee.
If you would like to choose your own calligrapher, that is great. But please allow your calligrapher 3 to 4 weeks to address your envelopes. Also, please make sure to advise us if you will be using calligraphy so that we may supply the calligrapher with the necessary extra envelopes.
